Sollte die Nachfrage danach kommen hätt ich eine plausible Erklärung dafür:
"Aus den vorhandenen Ziffern der MTCN-Nummer ermittelt E.L.V.I.S mittels eines geheimen Algorithmus eine weitere Ziffer die dem MTCN an durch den Algorithmus ermittelter Stelle der MTCN-Nummer zugefügt wird ( daher 1 Zeichen mehr! ) Diese zusätzliche Ziffer ist daher ein Sicherheitsfeature, dass die Gültigkeit der MTCN bestätigt - WU oder MG muß wissen wie das zu handhaben ist ................."
Dieses Prüfziffernverfahren ist übrigens tatsächlich üblich !!!! (z.B in allen Versicherungsnummern)
